Swimmers from the Junior ‘C’ and ‘B’ groups headed to Centennial Pool in Burlington this past Sunday morning to participate in the first Developmental meet hosted by the Burlington Aquatic Club (BAD).  This meet was designed for beginner level swimmers in their first to third year of swimming to get a chance to compete in a swim meet that promotes personal accomplishments over overall placing.  This was exaggerated by the use of ‘Best Time’ ribbons similar to the black ribbons swimmers get at our in house meets.  Almost all of our swimmers bested their times for the season, which is a great accomplishment.  On top of that numerous club records were broken.  Congratulations Warriors!

For the coaching staff it was great to see all the swimmers’ hard work this fall paying off in the pool but more importantly seeing how much fun everyone had.  Even though it was an early start to a Sunday, all of the swimmers were in great spirits and cheering loudly for their teammates.  This energy was reflected in the stands as parents were sitting together cheering and supporting our team.  Thank you to everyone for attending and we look forward to the next developmental meet at the end of February.
