The Ohio State University hosted the 2010 Mike Peppe - John Bruce Memorial Invitational this past weekend at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. 
 
Swimmers from different states across the USS competed through the 3-day event.  Club Warriors Swimmer competed alongside their US team mates from Club Wolverine.

Head Coach Chuck Meklensek shared his thoughts on the swimmers’ performances.“I was so glad, and proud at the same time seeing these kids swim and more than that, earn medals.  We all worked so hard and it was a really good experience for all of us”. 

8 Swimmers made the trip for the competition.  Congratulations to Sean Tong, Hayley Hess, Kostadin Kolev, Lexi Meklensek, Emma Tonellato, Sydney Hirsch, Teddy Kolev and Leah Meklensek.

CW swimmers helped Club Wolverine's total team score by winning medals and placing in the top 8. Leah Meklensek (10), from the Girls 10& Under age group won 5 of the 7 events offered for her age group.  The five wins, along with a bronze medal, earned her the 10 & Under high point trophy.

Teddy Kolev (10) was second in 10&Under boys 200 IM. Teddy was part of the 400 Medley Relay which won the gold medal in meet record time and silver in 400 Freestyle Relay. 

Lexi Meklensek (13) won the silver medal in the 13-14 girls 50 Free and a bronze in the 200 Free. 

Every swimmer came away with multiple best times.  The team now looks forward to next season for another year of improvement and great performances.
