The Waterloo Rapids hosted its In-House Meet this past Saturday. The meet started off with a bang with our top girls marching out to some good music in the hopes of breaking a 13-year old pool record held by the University of Arizona. the record of 1:56.00 in the 200 Medley Relay went down to the team of Regan Bartlett-Green (Backstroke), Truc Dwyer (Breaststroke), Hayley Hess (Butterfly) and Lexi Meklensek (Freestyle) who crushed the record by nearly 2 full seconds, clocking 1:54.12.
The remaining events were then held for all the Rapids swimmers. The Coaching staff was very pleased with the effort and the improvement seen since the last in-house meet back in October.
Congratulations to all the Rapids for some great swimming!
After the meet, the team hooked up for some Glow-In-The-Dark bowling. A lot of fun and some 'not-so-fierce' competition.
The team is now preparing for the March Championship meets in Buffalo and Pittsburgh.
