Star Swimming held its SHORT COURSE TEAM INVITATIONAL Meet at Erie Community College, Buffalo New York this past weekend.  The meet was attended by nearly 1000 swimmers from all across the north Eastern United States.  

Rapids Swimmers were well-represented at the meet. Lexi Meklensek was the star of the meet earning victories in the 50 yard backstroke, 50 Yard freestyle, 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard freestyle.  She also finished 6th in 100 yard butterfly and 8th in 500 yard freestyle. 

14 year old Julia Ellis-Hale placed 4th in 200 yard breaststroke and 6th in 400 yard IM while Regan Bartlett-Green finished 5th in 200 yard backstroke in the female 13-14 Age Group.  

10 year old Leah Meklensek placed 4th in both 50 and 100 yard backstroke and 6th in 50 yard freestyle.  

"This was a great meet for our swimmers.  The quality of the competition was fantastic and we stood out.  Our small group of swimmers stepped up for this meet", said Chuck Meklensek, Head Coach for the Rapids.
